Despite a few minor drawbacks like the low bedroom ceiling and the skylight blinds letting in light at dawn, these were easily manageable with a pair of eyeshades. The location of the accommodation is great, with excellent cliff walks to nearby towns. the cottage is clean, neat, and well-decorated with stylish decor. It offers a good kitchen/diner and a warm, clean room. the cottage also has charming art pieces and plenty of cushions and knick knacks.

Loading and unloading down the passage can be difficult, and unfortunately, there is no view from the cottage, only a wall.

Despite a few minor drawbacks such as sloping ceilings in the bedroom and low seats in the lounge, our overall experience was fantastic. Loading and unloading down a passage was a bit difficult, and there was no view, just a wall. The access was a bit dark even with lights, and the fridge was a bit awkward. The cottage had three floors, which was a bit much at times, and it was on the expensive side for just two guests. However, these were minor inconveniences considering the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend The Old Cottage to anyone looking for a lovely and comfortable stay in Staithes.
